Inna Brayer Adjudicator - NY

Inna Brayer, a native of Moscow Russia, is the 3 time United States National Ten Dance Champion and a National Certified Adjudicator holding fellowship level accreditation from the N.A.D.T.A. As an ambassador and World Team Member representing the United States she has been ranked as high as ninth in the world, competing in six World Championships. Inna participated as a dancer on Season 7 of ABC-TV’s “Dancing with the Stars” and was partnered with actor Ted McGinley. In 2008 Inna represented USA Dance, Inc. when she was featured on ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America” discussing the upcoming National Championships and the benefits of ballroom dancing. She also served as the choreographer for the Rutgers University Ballroom Dance Team performance on Season 9 of “Dancing with the Stars.” As a coach her students have achieved high placements in many national and international competitions including winning Junior Latin National Championships. Off the dance floor she is actively involved with USA Dance as a DanceSport Delegate, member of the Governing Council, and DanceSport Council. Outside of dance she holds a B.A. in English and Education from the Hunter College Quest School of Education.

Dan has been competing professionally, coaching and judging for over 40 years. In 1985 Dan was the youngest dual fellow in the world with highly commended fellowships in the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, the London-based society, which embodies the worlds acknowledged leaders of the dance profession. Dan is also the DanceSport coach for the competitive DanceSport teams at Georgetown University and the University of Maryland, as well as serving as guest coach at numerous other universities, congresses, and dance camps, including moderating the professional discussion panels at key events in the United States. Dan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religion and a Master of Arts degree in English Literature.

 

Marie Crowder Adjudicator - Eden, NC

Marie is a five time USA Dance Amateur Champion in Latin and a 3-time USA representative to the WDSF World Latin Championships. Marie has won numerous Regional Standard and Latin Championship titles and was a Standard finalist in the USA DanceSport National Championships.

Marie is a WDSF World Class A+ Adjudicator, USA Dance National Championship Adjudicator and a proud member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (the ISTD). She is currently the Membership Director of the USISTD.

Marie, along with her husband Wayne Crowder, organize the Carolina Fall Classic DanceSport Championships, Southeastern DanceSport Championships, OKC Dreamcatcher DanceSport Championships, and the Triangle Open Championships. 

Wayne Crowder Adjudicator - Eden, NC

Wayne Crowder F.I.S.T.D Wayne is a five time USA Dance Amateur Champion in Latin and a 3-time USA representative to the WDSF World Latin Championships. Wayne has won numerous Regional Standard and Latin Championship titles and was a Standard finalist in the USA DanceSport National Championships.
Wayne is a WDSF Examiner, WDSF Adjudicator, WDSF Professional Division Adjudicator, USA Dance National Certified Adjudicator and a Fellow Member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (the ISTD).
Wayne served two terms as the President of the United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. He currently serves on the Dancesport Council of USA Dance as Chair of Certifications as well as the WDSF Adviser to the President of USA.

Bill Davies Adjudicator - New York, NY

Bill Davies Is currently celebrating more than fifty years as a dance teacher, competitor, DanceSport Coach and World Class Adjudicator. He is one of the founding US professionals of the Teacher Student competitions known as “Pro/Am” which have become the main stay of U.S. competitions in today’s world.

Bill was a member of the first, as well as several other United States teams which represented the United States at the British Ballroom Championships. In 1978 he placed eighth in the World Championships held in Tyoko Japan. He has won and been a finalist in numerous overseas championships. He is a nine time "North American Champion", a three times "United States Champion, runner up in the 1973 "United States American Style Championships," and has been a finalist in many Latin Championships.

He is currently teaching and coaching around the world and loves to social dance.

Dana A. Edwards

Dana is a Licentiate member and hold my American certifications in Ballroom, Rhythm and Theatre Arts with the United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and Licentiate degrees in International Ballroom and Latin with Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. She is a USA Dance adjudicator and collegiate chairman of the judges.
Dana is also the Director of Social media and will be serving on the USISTD National committee. She is retired as a American and Canadian American professional American Smooth and Rhythm Champion. She has 24 years of teaching experience. She worked for Fred Astaire Dance studios for 9 years have also owned her own dance studio called Invitation To Dance in Columbus, Ohio since 2001.
Dana was the head coach for the competitive and formation teams for the Ohio State University DanceSport team from 2009 to 2012.
 

Anatoli Gorolevici Adjudicator - MA

Originally from Moldova, Anatoli started dancing at the age of 7. He competed in International Latin, International Standard and 10 Dance Championships.
At the age of sixteen, Anatoli moved to Italy where he continued to improve his dancing in
Naples, Milano, and Rimini. In 2002 and 2003, Anatoli won the Italian National Championships in Formation Standard. In 2006, Anatoli moved to Boston, MA where he is currently teaching and competing in Professional International Standard division with his partner Irina
Gorolevici.

During their dance career together they won and became finalists at many major competitions.
Anatoli continues to work with some of the greatest coaches in the world to constantly improve his dance knowledge.  

Stephen Hadley Adjudicator - Birmingham, AL

Stephen Hadley began his professional dance career with the Arthur Murray organization. As a professional competitor, he is a former Championship finalist in both Standard and Latin and represented the United States at the European Cup. He served as Chairman of the Southeastern Regional Dance Board and was a member of the International Dance Board for Arthur Murray, Inc. Steve holds Fellowships with the North American Dance Teachers Association in Standard,Latin, American Smooth, Rhythm and Theater Arts. He has been a proud member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing for 44 years and is both a National and WDSF adjudicator.

Anya has been coaching competitive dance for 25 years. She travels extensively to coach athletes in Europe and North America.
After being a Russian professional Coach and Judge for 13 years, Anya moved to Oregon, USA from Moscow, Russia. Some of her accomplishments include the following:

Steven Mesh is a professional ballroom dancer, coach, adjudicator, and choreographer. He has top placements at a number of major dancesport competitions nationally, and has traveled to represent the United States in international competitions. He has worked with many world recognized coaches and has achieved fellowship level accreditation from the N.A.D.T.A. in both adjudicating and teaching.  In 2004 he opened Spotlight Dance Center, which grew into one of the leading dance studios in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area. He has coached several top couples in the world of competitive Ballroom and Latin dance. He is also the founder of Project Spotlight, a non profit development program for elementary, middle, and high school students that uses ballroom dancing as a vehicle to change the lives of the children and their families reaching thousands of children each year. 

Patti Panebianco Adjudicator - New York

Pattis dynamic energy & charisma has allowed her to become a sought after adjudicator & invigilator for numerous NDCA & USA Dance competitions as well as being the former treasurer & national committee member for the US Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. She is the recipient of numerous championship titles in both Intl Latin & American Rhythm styles. She has choreographed & performed in various stage, TV & movie productions, throughout the world including A Tribute to Gershwin, Wallflowering, Marconi Brothers, All my Children & YoYo Mas Soul of the Tango.
Working with children brings joy to her soul; she is a former Teaching Artist & Educational Liason with Dancing Classrooms Long Island. And has recently volunteered her time judging The Colors of the Rainbow Team Match for DCLI.
She holds licentiate certifications in all styles of dance and is a popular trainer for professionals & amateurs for their national certifications with the U.S.I.S.T.D
For the Past 17 years she has been the founder & owner of NY Dancesport Centre on Long Island where she currently resides with her husband Anthony and her two rescue cats Dolly & Puca. She enjoys touring the country coaching, adjudicating & sharing her joy & knowledge of Ballroom dance.

Ms. Sahlin is a Championship Judge and International coach, teaching and coaching independently in United States and Europe.

Former Amateur Champion and Runner-Up in Standard, 10-Dance, Team and Formation Dance -World Champion Finalist-, in her native country of Czech Republic.
Ms. Sahlin moved to the United States in 1992 and continued her competitive career as a professional there.
She was a Professional Champion or Finalist in many Championships and competitions in the USA and achieved the semifinals at the US Open.
Ms. Sahlin keeps a busy schedule as an adjudicator, judging WDSF and USA Dance Championships and competitions, including World Championships, World Cups, Grand Slams and Continental Championships

She is Certified Fellow in all styles of dance and has judged many championships throughout the world. IDTA Certified and WDDSC World Class Judge. She is the pioneer of `the Body School System` of dancing in the US. She has taught dancing (all styles), golf and tennis to world class athletes using the Body School System since 1988.
She got certified as a life coach with Bob Proctor in 1998. She is a Lifecoach, motivational speaker and mental coach to corporations, athletes and individuals.
She is the owner of Queen Of Organics which includes 100% toxic free and organic products. To back up her passions for green living she created Concept Village which displays samples building of green, natural and sustainable building methods. She started a contracting company this year to support Concept Village.

Kimberly Smith has been teaching dancing for 37 years and has owned and operated Dr. Dance Studio, Inc. in Birmingham for 31 years. Kim has enjoyed a fulfilling career as a professional competitor, pro/am competitor, teacher and currently coaches amateur and professional couples.
She holds both Memberships and Fellowships with the North American Dance Teachers Association and Licentiates with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, which embodies the worlds acknowledged leaders in the dance profession. Kim continues to proudly serve the society as Treasurer of the USISTD. She has also served as DanceSport advisor to the 2021 World Games. Kim is a WDSF adjudicator and has had the honor of judging the WDSF World Sr. I Latin Championships as well as many Open Championship events.

Phillip Stephens Adjudicator - Houston, TX

Phillip is a licensed Adjudicator for USA Dance (A+B+C+D+E+) and holds a B license with WDSF. He has been an Adjudicator for many USA Dance events, including NQEs such as Gumbo of Ballroom, their National Championships and several Collegiate events. He has also adjudicated NDCA events such as United States DanceSport Championships, Ohio Star Ball, Heart of America, Texas Challenge and others.

He has been Invigilator at USA Dance Nationals, Ohio Star Ball and United States Dancesport Championships.

As an examiner for Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and USA Dance, Phillip Stephens provides professionals with academic teaching degrees in dance as well as adjudication certifications for judges.

He holds ISTD Fellowship Degrees for International Ballroom and Latin and USISTD Fellowship Degrees for American Smooth and Rhythm. In addition, he holds Licentiate degrees in USISTD Theatre Arts and ISTD Viennese Waltz.

During his involvement with ISTD / USISTD, Phillip played an active role as a Former Treasurer and Past President of the USISTD. He was also a Member of and Secretary for the USISTD Board of Trustees. In July 2007, Phillip presented a lecture on American Style Dancing at the ISTD Congress in Worthing, England.

Phillip has been dedicated to the advancement of and education in ballroom dance since beginning to teach in 1972. During that time he has owned an independent studio in Houston, TX, for 29 years. He has coached amateur and professional couples and has also organized showcases and competitions. He was organizer of the Ballroom Dance Competition for the 2014 Transplant Games of America. Phillip was the 1989 Eastern United States Rising Star American Smooth Champion and has won or placed in the finals of several competitions, including being Vice Champion in the Open Rhythm division of the Heritage Classic and Heart of America Championships, American Smooth and American Rhythm Finalist at the Ohio Star Ball and American Smooth Champion of the Minnesota Open Championships. 

Lev Vesnovskiy Adjudicator - Brooklyn, NY

Lev Vesnovskiy is a Licensed WDSF `A` and USA Dance Adjudicator who has been teaching and training dancers for the past 30 years. His students became Russian Youth Latin National Champions and USA Youth and Under 21 Standard National Champions.
Lev became one of the first certified professionals and the first invigilator in the Asia region of Russia. As an adjudicator, Lev has judged many esteemed National and International competitions.
He started his dancing career in 1978 in Russia and competed in all major European and North American championships as amateur in Standard, Latin and 10-dance and professional in Standard.
Parallel to his dance career he graduated the Novosibirsk State University with Bachelor in Physics and Master in Computer Science.
With his wife and dance partner Lev has founded and led the first in Russia ballroom choreography faculty in Novosibirsk University of Performing Arts and became the first lector and examiner in the region. He has published few books about ballroom dancing including the Russian version of Technique of Latin Dancing approved by Mr. Walter Laird himself.
Since 2001, Lev has been the owner and instructor of Atlantic Ballroom Dance Studio in Brooklyn New York.

Karita Yli-Piipari Adjudicator - USA

Karita started to dance at the age of 10 in her native
country Finland. During her career she achieved numerous international
and national titles including 15 Finnish National Championships titles.
She was World & European 10 Dance Finalists. Karita is teaching dancers around the US. She is a qualified WDSF adjudicator and has adjudicated several World and Continental Championships.  

Andrea Zaramella Adjudicator - North Carolina
Andrea is the 2012 United States National Amateur Vice-Champion of International Standard Dancing with his partner Kristie Simmonds. He began dancing in the youth division at the age of nine and became the World Youth Champion. Formerly from Brindisi, Italy, he has made Charlotte, NC his home. He is ranked among the top ten Standard Dancers worldwide. Andrea is fluent in English and Spanish as well as his native Italian. He is an accomplished tennis player and an avid snowboarder.

In addition to judging and chairing, Yuehwern and her partner, Daniel, spend most of their time being the head coaches of the Purdue Latin & Ballroom Dance Team. Yuehwern founded this college team in 1995 and it has been highly ranked in the USA Dance collegiate national events. In 2010, the Team was invited to compete on Season 10 of Dancing with the Stars on Fox, and placed second in collegiate formation team competition at the finale.
Yuehwern was runners-up in USA Dance National Dancesport Championships and later finalists in professional events in a span of 15 years. Throughout her dancing career, she is passionate about learning; teaching, and helping students find their pathways to success on and off the dance floor. Over 20 years, the competition team she works with is an incubator of many Dancesport competitors, professionals, and lifelong dancers. Each year Yuehwern is also the key person to organize the Purdue Ballroom Classic, which attracts more than 400 collegiate competitors from 20+ universities in the Midwest area for the last two decades.
Yuehwern studied ballet and performed with the Lafayette Ballet Company before learning ballroom dance. Besides dancing, she completed her B.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, specializing in smart operations and system engineering. She is currently a Full Professor in Industrial Engineering at Purdue University, the Academic Director of LASER PULSE (Long-term Assistance and Services for Research, Partners for University-Led Solutions Engine) Consortium, and the Associate Director of Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering. 

Sami Yli-Piipari Chairman - US

Sami started ballroom dancing at the age of 10 in his native country, Finland. During his career with his wife Karita, he achieved numerous international and national titles including total 15 Finnish National Championships titles amateur and professional standard, latin, & 10-dance. He is also a former Professional World & European Professional 10-Dance Grand Finalist, United Kingdom & International Professional Rising Star Finalist, and Blackpool Professional Rising Star Semi-Finalist. Representing the US, Sami serves as a WDSF chairman and adjudicator.

Yang Chen has been dancing for more than twenty years and is currently the President of the Greater New York USA Dance Chapter. Yang has extensive experience as a Master of Ceremonies of many ballroom competitions including the Manhattan Amateur Classic, NJ DanceSport Classic, National Qualifying Events in Bethesda, Maryland, Knoxville, Tennessee and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the USA Dance National Championships and numerous collegiate events, including the DC DanceSport Inferno. He lives in New York City, and yes, his first name is pronounced “young.” 

Mark Tabor Scrutineer - Fort Worth, TX

Introduced to ballroom dancing in 1993, Mark became involved in competition, and competed for over 15 years. Beginning in 2000, he organized 18 chapter competitions and Six USA Dance Regional Competitions. Throughout this experience, he developed the O2CM system for DanceSport competition management and began scrutineering. Mark moved to Oregon and began teaching at The Ballroom Dance Company in 2008. In 2013, Moved to Fort Worth Texas to better serve O2CM clients across the country at events nearly every other week. He works all levels of events as a scrutineer, including NDCA pro/am events, USA Dance National Championships and WDSF World Championship and World Cups.
